A photo of a handmade, abstract rug laying flat on a plain white background. The rug is mostly rectangular with a few irregular curves giving the rug an organic shape. There are green organic shapes of various sizes within the design of the rug. The larger green organic shapes are lighter and inside, have basic spots of orange, yellow, and purple, suggesting that they are flowers. Surrounding the green shapes is a solid light blue background.A photo of a handmade, abstract rug laying flat on a plain white background. The tag on the bottom has a bold headline that reads "Care" with a fine print list underneath.

Meet the Artist

Kristina Price

Articles of Tact is a Philadelphia-based creative project by Kristina Price, a multidisciplinary artist who grew up in WV and loves craft. As a maker, she often practices printmaking, photography, drawing, and ceramics in addition to tufting. Articles of Tact softly launched in 2019 and has been evolving ever since.

Her inspiration comes from everyday patterns and shapes. Plants in particular are especially compelling; they are usually always changing, whether it’s in a state of growth or decay. For Kristina, the fun is all in looking at things, living or object, as they are in their original material and form, and noticing what they hold that gives us their context.
