Description
“This double-sided edition interacts with air, breath, and the atmosphere of space. For me, talismans are objects that aid in protection, guidance and alignment, enacted through forms of concentration, music or meditation. They are visual reminders of the pulsating cycles of change.” —Lisa Alvarado
Hand-printed and sewn with a light-filtering silk organza center, this limited-edition banner is available in two colorways: Inhale Pink and Exhale Green. The artwork is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity hand-signed and dated by the artist.

About The Exhibition

Talismans for a Theater of Resilience
In collaboration with the FWM Studio, Lisa Alvarado (b. 1982) experimented with sculptural fabric assemblage, screenprinting, and dyeing techniques to create two monumental hanging tapestries that will be layered with kinetic sound and tinted daylight. Weaving together ancestral memory, natural cycles, and collective histories, she creates a space of resistance, community, and renewal.
