Moki Cherry’s guiding mantra shaped the integration of paintings, furniture, ceramics, tapestries, video, audio, and live performance into each place she inhabited, from residences in New York and Sweden to her journeys across the globe. Her family life with her partner, American composer and performer Don Cherry, along with their children Neneh, Eagle-Eye, Jan, Christian, and David Ornette, was central to Moki’s artistic production.
