Serape (sketchbook)
1
Description
Here for that pop of color?
Mary Heilmann’s Serape design was inspired by the colors and patterns of traditional Mexican serapes with influence from the artist’s Southern California roots. The result takes a playful approach to minimalist forms by laying bare the artist’s hand through simple painted gestures.
Mary Heilmann, in collaboration with The Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia.
