Description

This set of napkins featuring Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown's Notebook yardage provides a classic FWM table setting. Initially inspired by standard stationer’s supplies, the design evolved “to look more like the black-and-white blobs on the covers of composition notebooks that American children use in school”.

Notebook (bolster)

An opened umbrella with a black and white speckled pattern leans diagonally with both part of its shell as well as its wooden handle resting on the same surface. Underneath it is a closed umbrella just like it, lying on the surface and pointing away from the viewer; its wooden handle at the lower center of the image.

The shell of an umbrella with a black and white speckled pattern faces the viewer. Lying down in front of it is a closed version of the same umbrella that stretches length-wise across the image with its wooden handle curling toward the viewer on the left.

Meet The Artists

Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown are most known for embracing the American pop vernacular in contemporary architecture. Their long history with FWM resulted in yardage designs and related products as well as floorplans and interior graphics created for our many locations over the years.
