Lesson 1: Drawing for Pattern Design

How do you begin to imagine a textile design for a repeat pattern? How can you explore mark making, texture, and emotion to create a textile for your clothing or environment? Learn to create a mood board, design a motif, and use drawing skills to express your design concepts. A teacher or individual could adopt this lesson into several days of exercises or one intensive day of learning.
