Ann Hamilton: OVERWEAR

Produced entirely in-house at FWM’s Studio, artist Ann Hamilton designed this functional unisex apron in two sizes and colorways. Its hand screen-printed motif is inspired by a drawing from an 18th-century weaving pattern book found in the Rare Books Department of the Free Library of Philadelphia. OVERWEAR evolved out of the artist’s 2016/17 exhibition Ann Hamilton: habitus and similarly explores the intersection between cloth and shared experiences. A pillow made of the same linen fabric is also available for purchase.
