Meet the Artist

Elisabeth Kley

Known for her distinctive black-and-white ceramic objects, Elisabeth Kley’s work stands at the nexus of pattern, decoration, and play. In Kley's first solo museum show, Minutes of Sand, her textile works intermingle with her signature black-and-white ceramics to create a space uniquely hers, defined by bold colors, strong lines, and distinctive forms.

About The Exhibition

An exhibition view of a large, geometric, abstract repeat pattern in yellow, teal, and white. It is a screenprint and is hanging on the wall like a large painting. In the foreground there are three sculptures decorated with geometric patterns. Two of the sculptures are made of ceramic and are black and white. The third sculpture is a flat panel on the ground with two geometric patterns, one black and white and the other is yellow, purple, and red.

Elisabeth Kley: Minutes of Sand

Minutes of Sand, Elisabeth Kley’s first solo museum show, features an entirely new body of work and interweaves her ceramic and painting practices with three new yardage designs and a new suite of ceramic sculptures for the exhibition.
