Elisabeth Kley: Egypt Drawings

1

Description

An immersive, large-scale zine of Elisabeth Kley’s drawings printed in black and white. Printed in conjunction with her 2021 FWM exhibition Minutes of Sand, this zine is a deeper exploration of her fascination with Egyptian pattern and decoration. Her brushwork is quick and suggestive, sometimes even wobbly, creating a sense of playful movement in the index-style collection of imagery. Kley hones in on very particular images from various aspects of Ancient Egyptian history, celebrating the small details.
