These washable and reusable cotton sateen face masks are made from yardage exclusive to The Fabric Workshop and Museum, designed by former Artists-in-Residence and screen printed in our studios. This edition uses Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown’s Grandmother (1983) yardage. The inspiration behind this iconic FMW design came from an old tablecloth belonging to the grandmother of one of the artists’ associates. They modified the tablecloth’s floral print and added the overlay of dashes, creating a pattern that is “explicitly pretty in its soft, curvy configurations and sweet combinations of colors.”
