Description

Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown’s Notebook design is one of The Fabric Workshop and Museum’s most iconic collaborations. Initially inspired by standard stationer’s supplies, the design evolved “to look more like the black-and-white blobs on the covers of composition notebooks that American children use in school.” The artists' skillful manipulation of the effects of scale, rhythm, color, and association make it an extremely versatile and popular product design. Here, it features as a stylish neck tie.
